CONNECT

If the iPad and a computer share the same WiFi connection, there are many ways to connect the two.

'Splashtop' has a very clever mouse emulation, useful for driving dynamic software such as Autograph

The other way round (showing iPad screen on your computer): install Reflector on your computer - good luck finding the 'AirPlay' icon!

EXPLAINING

'Educreations' and 'ShowMe' and
'Explain Everything' are very useful for creating and recording lesson plans

'Keynote' works well to run PowerPoint style presentations

MATHEMATICS
CALCULATIONS

Be wary of 'Numbers', which is extremely fiddly to use.

'Wolfram Alpha' works on all devices now.

The 'SlipStick' slide-rule is fun.

COURSES

A growing area.

'Khan Academy' has yet to receive the major facelift that the desktop version has just launched.

MATHEMATICS
GEOMETRY

'SketchExplorer' allows existing GSP files to be explored, but you cannot create new ones.

Geometry is a natural for a touch interface so I expect this section to grow rapidly.

GRAPHING

First in from the big computer apps is the 'TI-Nspire CAS'.

'FluidMath' is fun, but you have to be quick!

Generaly most of these just draw graphs.

MEDIA TOOLS

Best 'way out' for photos is to link photos to dropbox.

'CamCam' links to a laptop camera using 'Splashtop'

'iMotion HD' does time-lapse

'Aviary' is a photo editor
