AUTOGRAPH for 11-16 year olds

This session covered graphing topics for the younger students. The interface gives users time to explore and investigate using a controllable 'slow plot' feature, and animations are particularly effective because of the ability to control the step in real time.

Topics included the transformations of shapes and functions, fitting mathematically interesting images, and some elementary data handling.

The tablet version is under development, but this will be an opportunity for a sneak preview of this exciting new 'Cloud-based' Autograph.

AUTOGRAPH for 16-19 year olds

With more advanced material, the possibilities for using controllable dependent objects are more effective.

We will explore 2D topics from simple geometry to advanced functions, and 3D topics: transformations of shapes to surfaces, lines, planes, and volumes of revolution.

Autograph is also particularly effective in the teaching of probability and statistics topics using real data.

Discrete and continuous probability distributions can be explored, together with the creation of large data sets.
